Whatamap.com lets you create and download any map into your phone, absolutely for free. Not to mention the SMS delivery anywhere in the world, for free also.
It doesn't hurt if you happen to have a GPS phone, but the maps work even without - this site is a great reason to get a GPS-equipped one, though.
Feel free to play around the site, find and create maps for your use, and report to us any glitches or new ideas you happen to come across to.
However, this launch is only the first step. Very soon, you will be able to extend the maps in any way you want (if you are an engineer), or add them to your Facebook profile (if you are a Facebook nerd), and they will be only the beginning... Stay tuned!
The beta.whatamap.com site will be more officially launched at 29.11.2007.
